▼ IND공항에서 ATL까지 와서 탑승까지 시간이 좀 남았습니다. 현재 시간은 오전 10시 정도입니다. 간단히 라운지에서 아침식사를 합니다. I have enough time to have a quick bite at one of the lounges in ATL airport. It is approx. 10 AM.

▼ 하와이까지는 9시간이나 걸리므로 이것저것 다 충전도 해줘야하구요... I also need to charge my electronic devices well since the flight time to Honolulu is almost 9 hours..

▼ 탑승하려고 게이트로 왔습니다. 라운지에서 가까워서 좋네요. 비행기가 꽉차서 혹시 늦게 가도 되는 승객한테는 수백불의 기프트카드를 준다고합니다. 자원하고 싶었지만 학회 참가 일정이 있어서 그냥 탑승합니다. 

Ready to board the plane. It is quite close to the lounge I visited. The flight was fully booked so the staff looked for volunteers to fly on the next available flight in exchange for few hundred dollars worth of giftcards. I wanted to volunteer but I had conference schedules so gave up.

▼ 화면은 요만합니다.. 한 20년 전 싱가폴 항공에 달려있던 모니터 같네요... The screen is about this big.. quite small. It looks similar in sizes to the ones that were available 20 years ago on Singapore Airlines.

▼ 비행기는 딜레이 없이 잘 이륙했습니다. We took off on time without delays.

▼ 국내선인데 미국대륙 동부끝에서 태평양 한가운데까지 가는 장거리네요. Although this is a domestic flight, it is a long haul journey from eastern end of the continent to the middle of the pacific ocean.

▼ 간식을 줍니다. Served some snacks.

▼ 기내식을 줍니다. 장거리라 그런지 미 국내선 일반석인데도 기내식을 주네요. They give complimentary meals. Usually US domestic flights don't serve inflight meals in economy classes.

▼ 이렇게 들어있습니다. 라운지에서 배부르게 먹어서 안먹고 싸가려고 했는데... 내릴 때 까먹고 두고 내렸습니다..ㅠㅠ결국 저녁으로 맥도날드를 먹었죠. It looks like this. Nice and decent portion I guess. I was full after having breakfast in the ATL lounge so I chose not to eat these and planned to take it to the hotel. But I forgot to take these when I deboarded the plane.. I got MacDonald instead..

▼ 열심히 날아갑니다. 현재 시각은 오후 1시 21분입니다. 위 동영상에서 해당 시각에 가보시면 이 구름이 나옵니다 ㅎㅎㅎ Cruising stably. It is 1:21PM now. You can see that cloud in the video! Just browse through the video and look for 1:21PM.

▼ 벌써 4시15분이네요. 뭐했는지 기억도 안납니다.. 영화를 본거같은데.. It is already 4:15PM. I don't even remember what I did for hours. I think I watched some movies.

▼ 촬영은 잘 되고 있습니다. GoPro is recording well.

▼ 기내는 전반적으로 어둡지만 대한항공처럼 창문을 닫아 달라는 승무원들의 요청도 없고 실제 열고 가는 사람들도 몇몇 있습니다. 대낮 비행기라 자는사람이 그렇게 많지 않더라구요. The cabin was relatively dark but cabin crews never 'requested' the passengers to close the windows and as you can see several people kept their windows open. Since it is an afternoon flight, not many people were sleeping.

▼ 빅뱅이론을 보고있었군요.. 공대생이라 그런지 빵빵터집니다. Ah, I was watching Bigbang theory. I find it very funny maybe because I'm an engineering major....

▼ 현재 시각은 오후 6시17분 (출발지 기준입니다) 입니다. 출발지인 애틀란타의 경우 미국동부시간 (EST, GMT-5)이지만 서머타임중이라 EDT, GMT-4입니다. 도착지 호놀룰루는 GMT-10이며 서머타임을 사용하지 않습니다. 따라서 현재 도착지시간은 낮 12시17분이네요. 한시간 반쯤 더 날아가야 합니다. It's now 6:17PM (Atlanta time). Atlanta uses EST (GMT -5) but due to daylight saving it is GMT -4 instead (EDT). Honolulu is GMT -10 and there is no daylight saving in HNL. So now at HNL, it is 12:17 PM. Still have to fly 1.5hrs more.

▼ 간식을 주네요. 역시 장거리라 주는듯합니다. 대한항공에서 새벽에 주는 간식같은 피자빵입니다. Some more snacks on this long haul flight. It tastes similar to pizza Korean airlines serve in the middle of flight on their transpacific flights.

▼ 밖은 푸르네요. It's all blue outside.

▼ 으어.. 드디어 다와갑니다. 오후 7시 17분, 도착지 기준 오후 1시17분입니다. 오전 11시쯤 이륙했으니 8시간 반 조금 안됐네요... Finally... I'm there.. It's 7:17 PM (or 1:17PM local time at HNL)

▼ 하와이 도착한다고 이런걸 주나봅니다. 맛나요. Hawaiian treat! It tasted great.

▼ 하강합니다. Descending.

▼ 드디어 하와이 땅이 보이는군요. 오하우 섬입니다. Finally I can see the land!! It's the O'ahu island.

▼ 착륙했습니다. Landed at HNL.

▼ 수고해준 보잉 767-400입니다. Good job B767-400!

▼ 공항에서 나와서 짐찾으러 갑니다. 하와이는 연중 따뜻하므로 터미널 간 이동하는 길이 야외입니다. Headed for the baggage claim area. Since Hawaii is mild in temperature 24/7, the passages between the terminals are not covered and located in the outdoors.

▼ 앞에 유리 없이 이렇게 그냥 뻥 뚫려 있습니다. 사진 찍기 좋습니다. No glass windows, great place to take pics!

▼ 하와이 느낌 나네요. I can feel the Hawaiian spirit!

▼ 짐을 기다립니다. Waiting for my bag.

▼ 그리고 셔틀 버스를타고 호텔로 갑니다. I took the shuttle bus to the hotel.

▼ 학회가 예정되어있는 힐튼 하와이언 빌리지입니다. 일주일간 머무를 예정입니다. This is Hilton Hawaiian Village where the conference I was attending took place.
