▼ 오클랜드 공항 국내선 터미널에서 국제선 터미널로 걸어서 이동합니다. 거리가 꽤 되었고 아마 한 10분쯤 걸리지 않았나 싶네요. Walking to the international terminal at AKL airport from domestic terminal. It was not too close. I think I walked like 10 minutes..

▼ 앉아있으면 모든걸 다 알아서 처리해주십니다. You can sit and wait while they take care of your boarding pass, luggage tagging and so on.

 

 

 

▼ 태그 된 가방을 직원에게 전달하고 엘리베이터를 타고 출국하러 갑니다. After passing my tagged bags to them, I took the elevator down to the customs.

▼ 뉴질랜드 항공 비즈니스 클라스 라운지에 들러서 아침을 먹습니다. I stopped by the Air New Zealand's Business class lounge for breakfast.

 

▼ PP카드로 갈수 있는 또 다른 라운지가 하나 더 있어서 나왔습니다. 가는길에 대한항공이 보이네요. There is another Priority Pass lounge that I could go. So I'm headed for it. I can see a Korean airlines' plane on the way. 

 

▼ 이곳에서는 아주 조금만 맛만 봅니다. 이미 앞 라운지에서 배불리 먹어서 와이프와 조금씩만 맛봅니다. We just had a really sneak peek of their available food. But me and my wife were already full after the first breakfast in the previous lounge.

 

 

▼ 게이트로 이동합니다. 저희가 탈 검정색 기체가 보이네요! Headed to our gate. I can see the one we're flying today! The black one!

 

 

 

 

▼ 이제 탑승합니다. 현재시각은 오전 11시 16분입니다. Started boarding! It's 11:16AM.

 

▼ 뉴질랜드 항공의 B787-9 기종 비즈니스 클라스 좌석입니다. 헤링본 구조의 좌석들이 창문을 등지고 있어서 바깥을 보는데는 힘듭니다. 하지만 이코노미보다야 100배 낫죠! This is the business class seat of Air New Zealand B787-9. The herringbone configuration seats are facing towards the cabin so it is difficult to view outside the windows.

 

▼ 1-1-1 구조로 되어있습니다. The seats are in 1-1-1 configuration.

 

▼ 처음에는 창문에 카메라를 부착했는데 승무원이 이착륙시에는 떼어달라고 합니다. 그래서 이착륙시에는 손으로 들고 촬영하고 순항중에는 와이프가 앉아있는 앞좌석 플라스틱 구조에 부착했습니다. I put my camera on the window but a cabin crew told me to take it off during takeoff and landing. So during take off and landing, I held it in my hand for recording. During cruising I stuck it on the plastic part of the seat in front of me where my wife was seated.

▼ 옆에는 미국에서 날아온 (아마 캘리포니아..?) 유나이티드 항공이 보이는군요. I can see the united airlines all the way from the States, probably CA.

▼ 기내는 보랏빛으로 꾸며져 있습니다. Cabin is lighted with purple/violet lights.

▼ 푸시백 하고 출발합니다. 현재 시각은 낮 12시, 정오입니다. Push-back and taxiing to the runway. It's noon.

▼ 이렇게 손으로 잡고 촬영합니다. 힘들더라구요... 그래서 영상 보시면 이륙/착륙시에는 카메라가 흔들립니다.. I held the camera like this during takeoff and landing.. which was really tough.. That's why ther video was shaky during takeoff/landing. 

 

 

 

▼ 활주로에 진입했습니다. 현재 시각 오후 12시 6분. At the runway. It's 12:06 PM.

▼ 달리기 시작합니다. 전 비행과정중 가장 두근두근할때지요. Speeding up! It's the most exciting time throughout the flight.

 

▼ 금방 이륙했습니다. 착륙까지는 10시간 30분 걸립니다. Took off within a minute! It will take about 10 hours and 30 minutes till landing.

 

 

▼ 터미널 출발할때부터 이륙후 10분쯤 됐을때까지 카메라를 이렇게 계속 들고있으려니 힘듭니다.. It was painful to hold the camera like this from pushback till 10 minues after take off.

▼ 오클랜드 도심이 아래 보입니다. Downtown Auckland can be seen!

 

 

▼ 드디어 와이프가 앉은 앞 좌석 뒷부분 플라스틱에 카메라를 부착했습니다. 거의 25분을 들고 있었네요. I finally fixed my camera on the plastic portion of the back of the front seat where my wife was sitting. I've been holding the camera for about 25 minutes!

▼ 아시다시피 B787기종은 내리고 올리는 창문덮개 대신 버튼을 누르면 밝기가 조절되는 전자식 창문덮개를 사용합니다. As you know, B787 uses electronically-controlled window shade which varies the transparency of the windows instead of physical pull-down shade.  

 

 

▼ 이륙한지 20분쯤 되어갑니다. Almost 20 minutes after take off.

▼ 첫번째 기내식이 서빙되기 시작합니다. 식탁이 넓고 앞에 발받침에 앉아서 일행과 함께 식사를 할 수 있도록 차려줍니다. 현재시각 오후 12시31분! 이륙후 23분 지났습니다. First inflight meal was served. The table is quite spacious and so if you ask the flight attendants to serve meals so that you can enjoy them with your companion, they serve you like this. Your companion can sit on yout footrest!

▼ 점심 메뉴는 아래와 같습니다. You can see lunch menu below. 

▼ 거의 30분이 지나서야 에피타이저가 나왔습니다. Appetizers were served almost 30mins after they started the meal service. 

▼ 파인애플, 자몽을 곁들인 훈제한 연어입니다. I got 'Tea smoked salmon with pineapple, grapefruit and cherry tomato salad, grapefruit couscous and crispy shallots'. 

▼ 와이프는 닭고기와 구운 마늘이 나왔네요. My wife got 'Five spiced chicken with picked pear relish and walnuts, roasted garlic and horopito aioli'. 

▼ 마늘빵도 나왔네요. Garlic bread was also served. 

▼ 후추와 소금. Salt and pepper.

▼ 먹는건 10분만에 끝.. Finished within 10 minutes. 

▼ 메인요리가 나올때까지 잠시 기다리면서 영화를 봅니다. Watching movies as I waited for the main dishes.

 

 

▼ 18분뒤 메인 요리가 드디어 나옵니다. 제가 주문한 메뉴는 뉴질랜드 소고기 스테이크와 컬리플라워, 감자, 시금치가 같이 나왔습니다. Main meal was served after 18 minutes. I ordered 'Grilled New Zealand beef fillet with cauliflower, potato and parmesan gratin, wilted spinach and Dijon mustard herb salsa'.

 

▼ 와이프는 닭가슴살, 폴렌타 (죽형태의 이탈리아 요리), 발사믹 소스와 무화과 그리고 시금치네요. My wife got 'Roast chicken breast with soft polenta, fig and balsamic sauce and garlic fried spinach'.

▼ 메인 메뉴 다 먹고 디저트로 아이스크림을 먹습니다. 메뉴판을 잠시 컨닝해서 설명해보자면 Spiced apple crumble 아이스크림에 버터스카치 소스와 oat가루를 뿌렸답니다.. 그냥 맛있었습니다. 메인먹기 시작하고 15분만에 다먹고 디저트 받았네요. 이로써 1시간10분가량 동안 3코스 기내식을 다 먹었습니다. Dessert after the main course. It is 'Spiced apple cumble ice cream with butterscotch sauce and oat crumble'. It was tasty. It only took 15 minutes after receiving the main meal to get our hands on the dessert. The whole 3-course meal was served throughout approximately 70 minutes.

▼ 기내식 먹고 한 2시간쯤 누워서 영화보고 시간 보내다 보니 간식거리가 뭐가 있나 궁금해집니다. 자리에 앉아서 화면을 통해 주문가능합니다. 비즈니스승객은 모조리 무료입니다. 주문하면 자리로 가져다 줍니다. 이코노미승객은 무료가 아닌지는 잘 모르겠네요. After the first meal, I spent about 2 hours watching movies and suddenly got curious what kind of snacks they have. You can order them on your private screen and the crew delivers it to your seat. It was all free for business class passengers. I'm not sure if they aren't free in the economy class.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

▼ 뉴질랜드에서 유명한 Whittakers 초콜릿과 커피만 한잔 주문했습니다. 과자는 뒤에 가보니 카트에 있길래 가지고 왔습니다. I ordered a Whittakers chocolate bar with a cup of coffee. I got the chips from a snack cart near the door.

 

 

▼ 좌석을 다 펴고 이불깔고 누워봅니다. 대낮이라 (현재시각 오후 4시 4분) 졸립진 않습니다만 흔치 않은 기회로 비즈니스를 탔으니 누워봐야 할것 같습니다. I got the seat in bed-mode. I'm not sleepy at all (it's 4:04 PM) but I just felt I needed to lie down at least for few minutes since I'm in the business class, which I can't enjoy too often.

▼ 이렇게 물과 외장배터리가 꼭 맞는 수납공간도 있네요. There is a small holder that perfectly keeps a water bottle and my external battery right next to me.

▼ 누워서 영화를 계속 봅니다. 착륙까지 6시간 반은 더 가야 합니다. 아싸. Continuing with my movie. Still have 6.5 hours to go. Great!

▼ 오사카까지 6시간 16분, 착륙예정 현지시각 오후 6시25분. Time to Osaka is 6 hours 16minutes. Estimated Arrival time at Osaka 6:25PM (local time).

▼ 어매니티 키트를 열어봅니다. 디자인이 엄청 고급지고 그렇진 않습니다. Taking a loot at the amenity kit. Doesn't look super fancy.

 

▼ 어매니티킷 구경하고 영화보고 누워서 잠좀 자다가 한참 지난거 같아서 화면을 보니 이제 겨우 더 2시간 44분이 지났습니다. 아싸 3시간넘게 남았네요. 이코노미에서는 시간 왜안가나 시계보는데 비즈니스에서는 1분 1초가 행복합니다. After messing with the amenity kit, I watched movie and took a nap. I woke up thinking it's been a while but found it's been only 2hours and 44minutes. Still over 3 hours to go. Great! In the economy class, I usually look the screen to see the 'remaining flight time' but in business, every second is enjoyable. 

 

 

 

▼ 또 30분이 지나서 뜨거운 수건을 줍니다. 저녁을 주려나 봅니다. 첫번째 기내식 다 먹고나서 6시간쯤 지났고 도착까지는 3시간쯤 남았네요. After about 30 mins, hot towel was served. It seems like dinner time is coming! It's been about 6 hours after we finished the first meal and still have about 3 hours till touch down.

▼ 다시 메뉴를 봅니다. 저녁메뉴는 오른쪽입니다. Studying the menu again. Dinner menu is on the right.

▼ 드디어!! 15분쯤 지나자 음식이 나오기 시작합니다. 이번에는 제가 와이프 자리로 가서 게스트가 됩니다. Finally the food was served after 15-min wait. I visited my wife's seat as a guest this time. 

▼ 그냥 보면 뭔지도 모르겠습니다. 메뉴판 대로라면 오른쪽은 '머스터드 닭고기로스트 샐러드와 복숭아피클, 올리프, 호박씨'랍니다. 왼쪽은 '레어 뉴질랜드 소고기와 홀스래디시크림, 두부 그리고 가지피클과 무'라네요. Can't figure out what kind of food they are just by glancing at them. According to the menu, right is 'Mustard roast chicken salad with picked peaches, green olive tapenade and toasted pumpkin seeds' and the left is 'Rare seared New Zealand beef with horseradish cream, tofu, pickled eggplant and radish'. 

▼ 에피타이저 20분뒤 나온 메인 메뉴입니다. 와이프의 선택은 (메뉴판을 컨닝해보니) '건조토마토 가루를 뿌린 Marlborough연어와 아욜리(소스), 사프론감자 퓨레, 구운 호박'입니다. This is my wife's choice as her main course, 20 minutes after the appetizer. Taking a sneak peek at the menu, it is 'Marlborough salmon with Kalamata olive and sundried tomato crumb, roasted courgettes, saffron potato puree and rocket aioli'.

 

▼ 제 메뉴는 '양고기 사태 찜 (슬로쿡)과 으깬감자, 완두콩, 양배추와 민트애플젤리소스'입니다. My menu is 'Slow cooked New Zealand lamb shank with creamy red skin potato mash, green peas, Savoy cabbage and mint apple jelly'.

▼ 메인메뉴 10분만에 후딱 먹고 디저트 받았습니다. 과일과 화이트초콜릿무스+생강사탕입니다. Got our desserts after finishing the mains within 10 minutes. A fruit-dish and white chocolate pain d'espice mousse with crystallized ginger and ginger gel.

▼ 이제 바깥은 노을이 보입니다. I can see the sunset out the window.

 

 

 

▼ 거의 다 와갑니다. 그대로 한국까지 가주면 좋으련만... 오사카에서 경유해서 인천공항이 아닌 김포공항로 갑니다. 장거리 비행이 힘들듯하여 일부러 김포공항으로 도착하는 비행편으로 예약했습니다. Almost there at Osaka.. I wish we directly fly to Korea but I'll transfer at Osaka bound for Gimpo (instead of usual Incheon international airport). I intentionally chose the flight to Gimpo considering long and tiring flight. Gimpo is very near downtown Seoul while Incheon internationl airport is about 45~60-min drive away from Gimpo.

 

 

▼ 오사카 공항은 2015년 여름 이후로 4년만이네요. Returning to Osaka after 4 years since my last visit back in summer of 2015.
